A garden filled with activity is what summer is all about, and this issue of ABC Organic Gardener will keep you busy!

Happy summer fellow gardeners!

I always know summer has really arrived when I can smell it in the air each morning. Perhaps it’s not a singular aroma, but rather a combination: the early morning petrichor after much-needed rain; citrus blossom; drying mulch; the breeze passing through sun-warmed eucalyptus leaves and my tomato patch.

Whatever this summer scent is – it always makes me smile, thinking of what lies ahead. Baskets brimming with fresh produce, warm evenings spent meditatively hand weeding, summer drinks outside and armfuls of dahlias to bring indoors or share with my neighbours. A garden filled with activity is what this season is all about, and this issue will keep you busy.

Happy gardening, Chloe.
