There's been significant growth in the Patch from Scratch garden over summer.

Two vegie beds were planted out with sweet corn, squash, tomatoes, basil and salad greens, and already the family have enjoyed the benefit of home-grown produce.

Work is underway on the chook run to get it ready for the imminent arrival of some feathered friends, and Costa Georgiadis from Gardening Australia dropped by to lend a hand and build some compost bays.

Costa and the Gardening Australia team came along to meet the Gordon family and hear about the transformation of their Sydney backyard.

You can build your own patch from scratch with the naturally great ideas you will find in Organic Gardener magazine. We love it when people make the most of their patch!
