Calendula is a multi-functional, frost-hardy annual with bright flowers that add early-spring colour.

Likes: Well-drained soil and full sun.
Dislikes: Frost.
When to plant/sow in zone:
How to start: Sow seeds directly in to garden just before last frost or indoors about 6-8 weeks before last frost.
How to grow: Water regularly, when flowers appear, deadhead regularly to encourage growth.
When to harvest: Cut flowers as bloom and needed; you can also let flowers mature and drop seeds to get self-seeded plants.
Pests and diseases: Aphids, powdery mildew
