Motivation is a big factor in getting things done in life, and sometimes we all need a nudge in the right direction. If you’ve been planning to get a vegie garden started but felt a bit intimidated at the task, then our latest and greatest competition is for you.
Patch from Scratch is a garden makeover competition with a difference. We don’t believe in overnight sensations, instead we are offering a thoughtful and well-planned garden transformation where you gain the knowledge and skills to keep a vegie garden going for years to come.
The prize offers consultation, design and plans, raised garden beds, chooks and coop, rainwater tank, worm farm, fruit trees, vegie seeds, seedlings and fertiliser to kick plants off. On top of all this, Milkwood Permaculture are offering a ‘Serious Backyard Vegie Growing’ course to give you the confidence to plant out and manage your vegie garden.
The Patch from Scratch competition is open to city gardeners with a smallish backyard. The winner will be featured in Organic Gardener and we will follow their progress in the magazine, here on the website and on facebook, twitter and instagram, to see how they settle into gardening, chook wrangling and living a more sustainable life.
If you see yourself in this picture enter on-line at organicgardener.com.au/competition/patch-scratch by writing 100 words or less on why you need to win and uploading photos or video.
Go for it and good luck!
