Celebrate Diggers homegrown harvest at Heronswood in Dromana – the home of heirloom seeds. Join it in celebrating 40 years of The Diggers Club and learn about the heirloom plants it has helped to preserve.
You will be inspired to grow your own when you visit the stunning setting of Heronswood Historic House and Gardens – a living catalogue of rare plants and heirloom fruits and vegetables in Dromana. Get gardening tips at the free onsite workshops, take home produce from local stall holders, join free garden tours with expert gardeners and take part in the famous heirloom tomato taste test. Enjoy lunch on the stunning pool lawn, with the freshest produce possible direct from the kitchen garden.

The Diggers Club is arguably Australia’s most remarkable gardening club – helping Australians create beautiful and productive gardens using heirloom seeds and plants since 1978.
Now owned by the non-profit, Diggers Garden and Environment Trust, it is committed to seed and garden preservation, conservation, education and most importantly, inspiration.
The showcase gardens at Heronswood in Dromana, and The Garden of St Erth in Blackwood are truly spectacular throughout February and March. Entry to all gardens is free for Diggers Club members. Members also receive significant discounts on all plants, seeds and other products, as well as contributing to the ongoing work of the Diggers Garden and Environment Trust.
