Northern exposure

Kuranda, north of Cairns, is the tempting tropical location for the 10th Australasian Permaculture Convergence, taking place from September 24-27, 2010.

A Festival of Permaculture takes place over the first two days, with all and sundry invited to get involved in worskshops, listen to talks and enjoy local music and food. There are even Permi-Kids and Permi-Bubs childcare facilities to keep the little permies entertained.

The remaining two days are devoted to the convergence itself, at which permaculture designers (usually restricted to people who have completed a Permaculture Design Certificate) gather to discuss the movement and enjoy a great big sustainable knees-up.
